Before you create your own Wedding Website, there are a few things to remember.  We have created this list to make it very easy to crate an informative and useful website that you can be proud of.

Once you have set the date for your wedding, you can begin creating your wedding website. Since you will have the ability to add content, you can add more details as your wedding plans unfold.  Before you mail your invitations, have your Wedding Website complete.

Decide which pages you want to include in your Wedding Website.

Select an email address to receive the RSVP's and other guest information that will be sent to you.

Decide on your website address.  The address will be something like: www.bigday-online.com/heatherandmark

Decide on whether to use your last names on the website (i.e. Karen Smith and Al Johnson's website or Karen and Al's website).

Decide on a secret login password.

Start composing the text information for each page included on  your Wedding Website

Gather together some cute photos of the Bride, Groom and some couple photos, perhaps your engagement portraits.  If you want, include photos of your parents, the Bridal Party and other photos your friends and family will enjoy. You will need to scan and convert to digital images, all the photos that you wish to include.  They should be no larger than 500 by 700 pixels in size. Place them in a convenient file on your computer, so you can find them easily.  Also give each photo a short descriptive title.

Use our Wedding Website Registration Form to start the setup process for your website.

Once you submitted your Wedding Website Registration Form, you will be advised of your website address.  Then you can start circulating this website and include it in invitations and other correspondence.

If you wedding reception includes individual guests menu/entree  preferences, this feature is included on the RSVP Form.  Be sure to edit the RSVP form to include the proper menu descriptions.

Use a web based mapping program to create driving directions to the various wedding events. Post them on the Directions page.

Start adding pictures to your Photo Albums.  Most guests to your website will be most interested in your photos.
